Workshop Float TripMarys River Watershed Council is partnering with Institute for Applied Ecology, Greenbelt Land Trust and Corvallis 509J School District to host a field-based watershed workshop, August 24th through 27th.  The four-day workshop will provide foundational watershed science skills, introduce a variety of field data collection techniques to use in a K-12 setting, and increase your knowledge of local flora and fauna.  Teachers will have an opportunity to explore the watershed on foot, by automobile, and by canoe.  By the end of the workshop, all participants should feel at ease leading school groups into the field to learn about Willamette valley streams and prairies.  The course will provide 28 professional development units and a stipend.  Complete this application form to apply.  For more information, please contact Kathleen Westly (541.758.7597) or Stacy Moore (541.753.3099).
